Drag One (D1) is a new independent premier international drag racing series concept which plans to operate across the Middle East, Eurasia, and the Asia-Pacific region based in Abu-Dhabi. D1 World Series will represents the highest tier of straight-line acceleration motorsport outside the Western Hemisphere. The series will feature high-horsepower dragsters competing over a standard distance of 1/4 mile (402 m) and the Top Fuel Class over 1,000 feet (304.8 m).
Unbound by traditional governance, the series will utilizes its own proprietary regulatory body and licensing system. Drivers must earn a D1 Elite Credential, requiring verified low-four-second passes and physiological high-G stress certification. A knockout points system will determine the annual D1 World Drivers' Championship and D1 Constructors' Championship.
